Triangle Opera Studios Performing In Downtown Raleigh

Posted by admin on August 13, 2012

Triangle Opera Studios presents an afternoon of local singers. The event will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 beginning at 3.00pm at Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern, located at 112 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh NC, in front of the Capitol building.

This is an opportunity to hear the amazing local talent Raleigh, Durham, and the surrounding area has to offer. The concert will spotlight the local artists that will be portraying leading and supporting roles in our upcoming season. There will also be a special performance by TOS founder, Christine Weidinger, who has sung starring roles at venues like the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala Milano, Liceu in Barcelona, Munich, Vienna, and many others. There will be food provided by local vendors as well as a full bar, with drink specials made possible by support of local companies.  All donations are tax deductible.

About Triangle Opera Studios

Triangle Opera Studios (TOS) is a non-rofit organization designed to offer performance opportunities to singers in the Triangle community who show potential to make successful careers as professional performing artists.

TOS seeks to bridge that wide gap between the voice studio and the professional stage for aspiring professionals and offer the public quality opera performances at little or no cost. Our singers are not paid to perform nor are they charged outrageous tuitions to take part in our activities. Participants have only been asked to help defray some of the production costs in return for the opportunity to perform under expert supervision.
