Triangle Opera Studios has been invited to make its home in the Durham School of the Arts in the Bright Leaf District of the Bull City. The magnificent Weaver Auditorium on the DSA campus will be the site of future performances beginning with the Menotti double bill slated for June 7, 8 and 9.
The organization will be an active collaborator with the School of the Arts faculty in providing services and opportunities to enrich the experiences of their students who will be invited to attend rehearsals and participate in productions where possible and appropriate.
TOS may be a resident of Durham but will continue to provide its services to singers and the public throughout the Triangle.
TOS is grateful to Principal David Hawks and Assistant Principal Michelle Hunt and the entire performing arts faculty for their hospitality and generous support of our efforts!
Triangle Opera Studios (TOS) is a non-rofit organization designed to offer performance opportunities to singers in the Triangle community who show potential to make successful careers as professional performing artists.
TOS seeks to bridge that wide gap between the voice studio and the professional stage for aspiring professionals and offer the public quality opera performances at little or no cost. Our singers are not paid to perform nor are they charged outrageous tuitions to take part in our activities. Participants have only been asked to help defray some of the production costs in return for the opportunity to perform under expert supervision.
