Viva Verdi Performance Marks 200th Anniversary of Composer’s Birth

Opera buffs in general and Verdi aficionados in particular can expect a real treat when Triangle Opera Studios (TOS) presents a gala concert, Viva Verdi, in commemoration of the great Italian composer's 200th birth year. The concert will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Weaver Auditorium at Triangle Opera Studios' home, the Durham School of the Arts, 400 North Duke Street, in downtown Durham.

The performance is admission-free and open to the public. However, donations to support Triangle Opera Studios are welcomed and deeply appreciated. TOS is a non-profit organization that offers only admission-free presentations to the public. It depends entirely on donations to finance its operations.

TOS Performance - Menotti Double Bill

Triangle Opera Studios will present a double bill of short operas by Italian-American composer Gian Carlo Menotti featuring The Old Maid and the Thief, a work composed originally for radio broadcast, and The Medium, Menotti’s first international success. Performances are Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 at 7:00pm with a matinee Sunday, June 9 at 2:00pm.
